The Guiding Angel

Yi-ting 提到...

Six days we shall do your work, but on the seventh day we shall rest. So shall the land. This way, it will not be exhausted and the soil will keep fertile. In other words, if we let it rest and lie fallow, it must reward us more harvest. Then even the bondmaid or the alien can share the profit.

Anonymous 提到...

For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield; but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow.
Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your ass may have rest, and the son of your bondmaid, and the alien, may be refreshed.

I think it is very reasonable, people and land all need take a rest sometimes to improve efficiency for working and harvest.
